Cibele Vieira was born in Brazil and lives in New York. She graduated from the International Center of Photography and The New School University. In New York her work is currently held at Valentine Gallery and Pierogi Flat Files She has exhibited at Valentine Gallery, Soho Photo Gallery (New York),  at Knew Gallery (Washington DC), at the Bienal de Fotografia de Sao Paulo, and Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana (Brazil). Her work as well has been shown and is in the collection of Museu do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, and the Kiyosato Museum in Japan. She has been featured in Visura Magazine, The Village Voice, Brooklyn Rail and Bushwick Open Studios Blog in NYC,  and O Globo and Correio Braziliense in Brazil. Cibele was First Place, Vision Awards, Santa Fe Center for Visual Arts 2000.
